A look into the life of a walker and amateur birder. Monday, 22 October 2012. Accepted a challenge on behalf of a Charity to complete the Three Peaks next June. Pretty much given up photography to spend more time improving my birding skills. Sold my lens, and bought a very nice Nikon ED Scope and Manfrotto Tripod.
Usually skulky birds here on patch, except when they are singing, today one braved me crawling towards it on my knees. No sign of any flycatchers though, but that could be down to crawling on my knees too much. Plenty of Willow Warbler though frequenting the boggy bit of the SSSI. Tomorrow the weather looks absolutely crap. Brilliant! Wednesday, August 12, 2015. That news even brought Bob out of his house.
Some thoughts about the things I see and take pictures of in nature. Mostly of birds and butterflies, but sometimes of something else. Monday, 17 August 2015. This year has been an interesting butterfly year so far.
